Rest Stop
On a particularly long road trip we stopped at a beautiful rest area. It had a trail and clean facilities, what more could you ask for. Needing to stretch my legs and knowing we still had a 5 hour drive ahead of us, we strolled down the trail. It was mostly I the woods, and occasionally a bridge over a small stream. We had no idea of the beauty that was waiting for us at the end of the trail! It dumped us out on a beautiful view of some huge, gorgeous river somewhere in eastern Louisiana. I snapped some pictures and we hopped back in the car. I still don’t know the name of that body of water, or where exactly it was. But I know it was absolutely with the detour!
I came home and did several paintings from the photographs I captured… they have all sold and moved on to new homes, I just couldn’t help but do one more…

Shipping is included in the price. Each painting is done by me in my studio in south Alabama. Each painting is a one of a kind original. I do my best to capture the true colors and brush work of every painting, but as screens and lighting vary there may be a slight variation from the images online. All sales are final, but if you are unhappy, please reach out and let me know and we’ll see what we can do.
