Blue Path 3
Inspired by my deep and abiding love of traditional blue and white, by the gorgeous Delft tiles in our little cottage in England last year…. and mostly by my daughters Blue and White china birthday tea cup this year.
This collection is all a wash of my favorite blue, French ultra marine, on a background of hand cut, torn and stained archival quality paper. the torn and rough edges are beautiful floating in a frame or behind a mat.
The landscapes are all taken from my reference photos taken in England last fall. The still life are all from my oil painting sketches from my Wild Flower oil collection last Spring. The Stream paintings are inspired by a Rembrandt sketch book mixed with some of my England photos.
